nah ive been to dhaghan celis in somalia and the quran schools were fun you got great food and we were allowed to play outside during our breaks,

And I've been to dhaqan celis as well and I also know a large amount of people who have. Their experience wasn't even close to yours. Food was certainly not great, you only went after you finished your cashar and the macalins would beat the shit out of you.
Dhaqan Celis isn't even close to being better than child services, your delusional if you think tales about rapists and pedophiles created by a community that already distrusts the country it lived in is telling the truth. i just got well deserving punishments by my macalim if i stepped out of line most of the time i spent leaning the quran hanging out with freinds and chilling out playing football and they served up some good food then i came home to my family

I'm glad that you spoke up and saved the miserable lives of those children left behind and exposed these Guantanamo Bay like prisons on the pretext of "Dhaqan Cellis". When Somali parents fail their responsibilities to raise their children properly, they send them to these prisons. They should be exposed and closed down. If a couple of parents are charged with crimes against children and sent to prison, it would teach a valuable lesson to the rest and abandon sending their kids to these prisons. No child deserves what you went through.
I wish you all the best and hope that you can turn your cruel and sad experiences into something that benefits the community and the parents become engaged with their children with love and care long before the situation reaches to ship them off to Africa for dhaqan cellis. Stay strong.

the whole point of dhaqan Celis is to teach somali youth about the culture and religion BUT the way it's done is wrong the parents don't tell the kid they being sent there instead they letting a stranger take care of their kid and beat them up if they fail their cashr
