Israel outcome

They should let a neutral country that couldn't care less about either cut up the borders for them. How does the great Kim Jong-Un delimiting their borders sound? :gaasdrink:

All holy sites should be open for all though

Wrong! That’s a mistake a lot ppl make. They’re Arabs culturally and linguistically but they’re not Arabs. Palestines are ancient people that used to be called Philistines and originate back to at least 12th century BC occupying the same region as today. Most people incorrectly assume they’re some nomadic Arabs that moved into the region after the Jews were exiled from their land, but their presence predates even the creation of the Kingdom of Judah and even further back then the reign of Prophet Solomon and Daud. I think both groups have always shared the land.
The Philistines were not native to the Middle-East, they came over from the Aegean/Hellenic World in Europe and settled along the Levantine coast. They proceeded to make war with native Hebrews/Jews in the region.

Centuries later, when Rome conquered Judea, they renamed the land "Palestine" in honour of their Greek Brethren that came & conquered before them and to humiliate the Jewish nation.

I really don’t know their history beyond 12th century BC, but I don’t doubt they moved around as most of the ancient world did. But I know the current Palestinians are not Arabs and have had some presence in the region for centuries. I remember one time someone here wrote that Palestinians moved into Israel/ Palestine in the 9th century AD lol.

Edit: also this part of the world has changed hands so many times, probably more so than anywhere else I’d say, it’s crazy.

Genetically, the Palestinian/Israeli Arabs are different from the Ancient Philistines who came from Europe. Generally, the Palestinian/Israeli Arabs are very close to Jews/Hebrews and are both descendants of the Ancient Canaanites who are also the ancestors of Ancient Phoenicians & other Levantines.

One of the things that pisses me off about arabization is the extinction of ancient cultures and ancient languages. The Palestinians spoke Aramaic, basically extinct now, which was also the language of the Old Testament. My point of my original comment was to point out that modern day Palestinians aren’t Arabs nor foreigners who occupied the land but have always had an ancient presence similiar to the Jews.

Additionally, Palestinians in the West Bank are basically Arabised Samaritan Israelis aka Jews.

A while ago, I learned that Palestinians in the West Bank are basically Arabised Samaritan Israelis aka Jews.
Are you serious? I mean you can barely tell them apart. So basically it’s Arabized Jews vs Jews?

Btw does that mean the rest of the Levant, like Syrians, Jordan and Lebanon are not genetically Arabs either? Why do they call themselves Arabs Horta? Even Palestinians do that. The other Arabized people like Sudan or Somalia even Iran to some extent maintained their original identity. Why is that? 🤔

The Levant was very easy to Arabize because they spoke Semitic languages & had no strong national identities [Aside from the Jews].

However, Iran maintained their identity because the Persians have a very rich literary history and their national identity was very strong. Therefore, the Arab conquerors were unable to destroy it.

I think Arabization, not Islam, is probably the worst thing that ever happened to the near east.

Facts. it's so annoying and terrible how so many groups indigenous languages went extinct because of this. also it puts into perspective because this could have easily happened to somalis. I don't even know which groups arabised and which ones not
