A war with Iran will be worse than Vietnam for the USA. They have insane geography. If they are ever sent back to the ground-level trenches like Afghans, the West can never win an enduring war. These Western countries are very intimidated by a true ground-level invasion. If Iran is on their home turf, they will probably endure the most protracted war of modern history, and the consequence of that, if it never becomes a world war, will shift the domestic realities of the US.

Remember, democracies are brittle in long-term commitments if the costs are seen as burdensome by the citizens. The threshold of going to a full-blown war will get any president in the US booted. We're not in the Bush era, and even that was highly controversial. US citizens will never sign off on going to war, and Israel can never engage in real war-fare with Iran.

It seems that Iran needs to play their cards better and deal more low-intensity damage to Israel because Netanyahu wants to keep doing this "death by a thousand cuts" tactic and cry wolf about war, while in reality, Israel can never go to a real war. All it can do is stand behind its father, ranomly sucker punch and then run behind the US its daddy again like the true weak spirited coardly state it is. It wants the US to fight for it, but I don't see a scenario where Trump can invade Iran and win, and also maintain support domestically. You guys are thinking about it one-dimensionally. Sura, the United States is a superior power. Nevertheless, Iran will endure a pyrrhic victory if it has to on the domestic ground. The USA is extremely sensitive to lasting fights because of the democratic realities. According to polls, a war with Iran is very unpopular among Democrats and Republicans.

The only way America would go to a true war with Iran is if a twin tower-type attack happened on American soil. And to be honest, it would not be an impossibility that Israel would stage something like that. After such an occurrence, the US would blame Iran and do a full invasion. They would lose in the end, of course, but Iran would have been reduced to rubble, and they would have to rebuild like Afghanistan (and physically like Iraq and Syria). I think the regime will be much more enduring, like the Taliban, because they have a religious motivation to them, and they believe in that legitimacy through ethnic and historic nationalistic zeal. These are not just some secular dictators but Shia Iranian nationalists (remember, Iran has a good chunk that are hardcore Shia), and the rest will join them as they will be attacked indiscriminately too. This "changing the regime" through war rhetoric is a pipe dream.

This man wants to localize the Israeli problem to a one-man show. That is dishonesty that stems from his Jewish ethnic bias, as he does not want to admit that the entire political class and a huge section of the citizenry (not all) are rotten (I don't mean Jews in general, spesifically a good section of the Israeli public, and almost all politicians).

I remember it took a while for Bernie Sanders to call for a ceasefire when Israel had undergone intense bombing campaigns, killing innocent people. He waited a long while. I will never forget that. And every time he talks about Israel, is like he tiptoes around half of what he truly thinks. Held hostage by his virtue signaling being a "progressive" guy that has to be on the right side of history, and his Jewish sentiments. He is not a Noam Chomsky whatsoever, and I always get the sense that I cannot trust him. He proved that earlier in the Gaza conflict, and his formulation of the problem.

I personally checked every single relevant politician in Israel, and they were more or less the same, except one woman who had no support (she was a leftist but still respect to her). Bernie and other liberals need to get out of here with the "Netanyahu is the problem and Israel will find peace once he is gone" lie. The man thinks we're stupid. And I supported the guy too, until he yielded to the democrats who spent their energy undermining him. However, that is another topic. Bernie Sanders has many improvements on the matter of systemic corrections in America, but that is also a separate thing.

Although I think Bernie Sanders is somewhat of a showman than anything. He lacks intellectual depth. I agree with the sentiments of inequality, health care, but especially on the matter of inequality, he simplifies the matter where, although it is correct, it leaves me thinking that if he became leader, he could not mechanize those into fruition, only improve the healthcare systems. Not the economic ones. This is also another topic.

Bernie Sanders is a refined and experienced statesman who is really politically minded like every other democrat, but found his inconsequential (and he is the biggest reason why it became so) populist caricature as an edge of personal careerist political profiling that gives him limelight. I almost consider Bernie Sanders a pleasant psyop. A guy who came to relieve pressure for the Democrats where politically active young adults that wanted something different (that had been brewing for years) and make that needed redirection into a useless path where people had no choice but to put their stakes into the problematic Democratic wing when hope for an alternative that Bernie branded himself with was squandered. But that is also another matter.

Also, the Ethiopian Jewish politicians (at least one) seemed to have their heads on their shoulders and are not as bloodthirsty as the rest. Yet, they too have no real power. They are like the token diversity hire, then the Israeli says, "Look, we have Arabs and Ethiopians in Knesset."

Having said all that, that does not take away the good thing he says, but his actions and overall workings put things into very different contexts that have to be weighed and so will his character, motivations, and deceptions be under scrutiny as I highlighted some. Apparently, he demonstrated during the time of the civil rights movement. He should get credit for those good things.
