Following a fresh assessment, the IDF says it has called up the headquarters of the 146th Reserve Division, along with the Iron Fist and Etzioni reserve brigades, to serve as backup forces for "various scenarios" on the northern border. Several other reserve battalions were called up an deployed to the Lebanon and Syria borders, the IDF adds.
"For the first time since the beginning of the war, dozens of Air Force fighter jets flew over the skies of Tehran, more than 1,500 kilometers from Israel, and attacked defense systems in the Tehran area," IAF chief Tomer Bar says. "We chose to act in the face of an existential threat to the security of our citizens, with professionalism, determination, and precision," he adds.
