i would like to see that happen but economies now a days so specialized and complex we have to pay our dues be cheap labor dumping ground like Asian countries. Only ways that happen is good infrastructure and safety. We do have the young labor force piece though

The problem with cheap labor, they won't spend which won't lead to market growth, it will remain stagnant, so that's why I say it's important to discuss the value-pie(expenses/revenues) with investors and advice them of our policy to create consumer base which will benefit them also as they can tap into more investment opportunities.

But this idea of cheap labor wasting time/effort and not spending becuz the revenues are concentrated with investors will lead to a 1% top scenario and 99% bottom of pyramid scenario, where-as the 'engine' should be how much you can shift from the bottom of pyramid to the 'middle engine' side.

A good economists know this and has to evaluate industries selected on their 'final finished good prices' and set up agreements, laws, regulations to ensure the revenues are being redistributed to the bottom so they can shift to the middle. This may seem bad at first for investors in the short-term, but in the long-term they have more opportunities to tap into thru a growing consumer class.

@Johnathan Smith I don't think it's wise we just sit, eat, shit, and die like animals tho and spend our life expetectancy no different to animals and promote 'allah' respects that, I disagree with that world view. I support innovation, knowledge based society as long as it's sustainable whether environmentally or socially(doesnt send us extinct)
I am not against innovation completely as using our brain to produce things as human beings is the essence of humanity and what differentiates us from animals. However we must a criterion of positive and negative impacts of innovation. Look at the words of Philio Farnsworth, the inventor of the television and what he said about his own invention.
“There's nothing on it worthwhile, and we're not going to watch it in this household, and I don't want it in your intellectual diet.”
The same is happening now with Tiktok - the Chinese inventor of tiktok refuses his children to use his own application, why do you think that is?
The innovators and inventors’ only motivation is financial gain, and systems and governments will use technology for economic gain. Because the philosophy of the western world is everything should be influenced by economics and without caring about the negative means to the end. Whilst they refuse to use their own products they export it onto the world.I disagree with that, innovation should be used the help cultivate man whether physically, mentally, intellectually. And it should be measured with a criterion and scrutinised to see if it will truly benefit.
From Plato’s Phaedrus, commenting on the invention of writing.

‘Here, O king, is a branch of learning that will make the people of Egypt wiser and improve their memories. My discovery provides a recipe for memory and wisdom. But the king answered and said ‘O man full of arts, the god-man Toth, to one it is given to create the things of art, and to another to judge what measure of harm and of profit they have for those that shall employ them.’
The people who invent something new, create a new tool or technology, are not necessarily the people who are going to understand what the social impact of those inventions will be.

‘And so it is that you by reason of your tender regard for the writing that is your offspring have declared the very opposite of its true effect. If men learn this, it will implant forgetfulness in their souls. They will cease to exercise memory because they rely on that which is written, calling things to remembrance no longer from within themselves, but by means of external marks.
What you have discovered is a recipe not for memory, but for reminder. And it is no true wisdom that you offer your disciples, but only the semblance of wisdom, for by telling them of many things without teaching them you will make them seem to know much while for the most part they know nothing. And as men filled not with wisdom but with the conceit of wisdom they will be a burden to their fellows.’

@DR OSMAN I don’t see much hope for this generation of Somalis, but what we can do is facilitate a good environment for the next generation to thrive. We shouldn’t go to Ukraine or China for cheap imported GMO foods. The economic incentives never outweighs the damage the food does to the population. I disagree with the western model of fast paced innovation which is disruptive to society without caring to assess the negatives. People will realise in the future the impact of this as now obesity in America obesity is 1 in 3, autoimmune conditions is 1 in 10, diabetes is 1 in 4, testosterone and sperm count has halved, among countless other conditions. Health problems has sky-rocketed in the last 100 years. Is this what we want for somalia? Instead we should look to produce our own healthy organic foods and put the general Somali public. It may be difficult but it’s definitely achievable. We have enough farm land to produce food 4x over our population. Just cultivating the next generation with good nutrition and education will make the average IQ of our country at 100. With the groundwork’s put in place and a young healthy population, everything else will fall into place and we will thrive. Going back and perfecting the basics is the tactic we should implement. We can’t go to level 100 if we haven’t even completed level 1, you know what I mean?

I am not a luddite. In fact I plan on providing cheap electricity to Somalis in the future and already involved in planning the project. However everything should be carefully weighed and managed. We should follow the example of the Jews, they know the dangers of technology and use it with caution.

Rural students perform way better in Somalia, I already predicted this on my own father experience who left Garowe after primary school to do his secondary in mogadishu. He went into hamar with a thirst of knowledge and would study under 'street lights' while the local besanis of the time were simply copying italian culture, soccer, shukansi, etc. The besanis r still here today, look at the 'general' section wasting their life on 'petty matters' where there is no 'growth' for them.

I predicted even today u will see the rural kids who have no other fun but their school, will be the best students compared to the urbanites. Their fun is basically the 'school' in their town and what they learn, there is no distraction either. This is where our 'cream la crop' is going to emerge from, mark my words now.

Let's not beat around the bush. But Islamic life philosophy is to worship allah and die and be rewarded with never-ending 'pleasure'. Counter-Argument - What is pleasure with no 'pain'? how can their be pleasure if their was no opposite pain?. Like what is being rich if their no poor?

What is life if their no 'death'? Being alive forever and just in constant enjoyment would be 'hellish' experience since u can't check out and leave and your stuck in it.

Western Life Philosophy - Between the ages of At 20-30, study and develop job experience. 30-65 work in a career 9 to 5, mon-fri, to achieve what? to feed your belly and spend 30 years payin off a mortgage to put a roof over your head. When your 65 u got 15 years before your 80 and your too old to enjoy life and die.

@Johnathan Smith

Your reasoning appears to be flawed, as you are solely concerned with how these philosophies benefit your future self.

Devout Muslims do not worship God solely with the intention of acquiring material wealth and enjoyment in the afterlife, just as people have continued to work despite the absence of a guarantee that they will live long enough to enjoy their retirement savings.

The reality is, life is a long and meaningless journey. When one eliminates the allure of a paradise or a comfortable retirement, all that remains is an abundance of time. Time which is a curse. Having a job provides people with a sense of purpose and fills their daily schedule. Similarly, religion offers meaning to the random happenings of life. And so, both aspects are beneficial to our present self as they help with navigating our day to day existence.. :icon lol:

Freedom can be found in acknowledging and embracing our inherent limitations as human beings. Truth is, despite our intelligence, we are limited and dependent on these elements for our well-being and survival.

Extreme happiness that lasts beyond 2 weeks without any counter-balance in mood is considered a mental disorder 'MANIA'. What else would u call eternal happiness? the reason happiness even has a meaning is becuz their an opposite 'sadness', if u lived in a world and removed all the bad-negative emotions and u were in just one emotional state, it's pure madness.

@Johnathan Smith understands this dilemma and even I do, do I have an answer no? becuz I can't imagine a world without these competing forces and it's absence would only mean an experience I can't even explain, at best I surmmarize it will just be 'mundane and average' becuz there is competitive force to make it 'special', at worst I summarize, it's hell and I will beg god to kill me and get me out of here and once I know I can't get out, that alone will make it 'hell' since I lost my 'freedom', no different to a prison.

Do I agree with western material philosophy, of course not. I know even if I had billion dollars and could buy whatever I wanted, every item would eventually get old or boring for the next 'fad', so it's more a drug like addiction with 'temporary happiness and the big lows when those item get boring'. My goal therefore is 'financial security' only so I can achieve my dream of travelling, studying in university for learning only becuz I hate work which is 'repetitive' and you stop learning after 3 months probation period.

But sister what really pisses me off abut the western model to live is, you spend the prime of ur life to pay off a mortgage to simply 'put' a roof over your head and this is seen by the public as a 'major' feat and success. How is it asuccess, u spent the prime of ur life only to puta roof over your head? by the time you do that, your old and die to even enjoy your meagre pension.

So my ultimate goal is to work from home, but the 'home' will be travel and base myself anywhere globally so I can do my travel goals, Work on contractual basis so i can switch jobs before it gets mundane, switch to study a field for knowledge sake only not for 'job sake', becuz I will get bored just going thru the mundane 9-5 repetiveness.

As 4 the after life philosophy, I side with @Johnathan Smith I leave it to god decide, I dont pray for jannah or hell, I say to god, the way these humans explain those places, creates a hellish scenario on the good or bad side. I know their limited also so it's not their fault as they havent critically analyzed what their proposing.

so I tell god I am totally ignorant about a world where theere is no competition or opposing emotional forces, I can only imagine it will be mundane or has no value at best and routine like or at worst 'hell' since u cant leave or die.

I say the best it can be is mundane and has no value becuz, If I spent 365 days on holiday, holiday wud lose its meaning. Thats why I propose the moderatio n balanced lifestyle. Its the best lifestyle runti. As for philosophical point of life, I dont have an answer, but I also know th current ones being spewed are no answer either.

Consider a devoted Muslim revert who is granted Jannah as a reward, but unfortunately, his non-believing mother passes away and faces eternal punishment in Hell.

If Jannah is a place where pleasure can't stand alone of pain and he is capable of experiencing sadness and pain, then Jannah would not be a cherished reward for him, but rather a place of sorrow. Even if he justifies his mother's plight from a religious standpoint, it would be unjust to place him in an environment where he can connect with his mother's suffering, leading him to feel immense sadness and depression.

Alternatively, if Jannah is a realm where pleasure can exist autonomously and be defined independently, he would wholeheartedly relish the joys of Jannah, despite being aware of his beloved mother enduring the utmost agony. Even if he were to confront his mother and hear her anguished cries, it would leave him unaffected. In fact, from his perspective, his mother's suffering would appear as trivial as a blissful child playing in a meadow, as he is impervious to the sentiments of empathy and guilt that are intrinsic to human nature.
