Islam uniting Somalis

What are some examples of Somalis like Isaaq, Dir, Hawiye, Rx and Darod being united under Islam ?

I'll start with the ICU cause I love the ICU :

Somaliland military officers defect to the Islamic Courts Union in order to fight off the Ethiopian invasion in December 2006

Somaliland and Puntland's support of the ICU against the Ethiopian/US invasion

During November 2006, Skh Hassan Dahir Aweys of the ICU Shura Council issued a public apology to the people of the north for what had happened during the civil war and promised compensation for the destruction and loss of life that occurred.

Support for the Courts in Somaliland was so significant that the government in Hargeisa feared an outright Islamic uprising

Peace under the ICU was so sudden that even Somalilanders who had seceded were thinking back about an union

I never experienced this period but my dad also thinks highly of the ICU, everytime I think about it, it fascinates me, at a time where Somalis hated each others the most the ICU bringed them back together peacefully in less than a year, this is the true power of Islam and no other government will be able to achieve this سبحان الله

Personally, I'm willing to set aside old disputes and grudges with other clans if it means starting fresh and uniting under Islam, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I dont know why people try to make it seem like they were just some barbaric people who hid behind the diin when infact they were the first form of governance to open public services, get rid of warlords, opened the airport for the first time in years and actually made the south a safer place.

This goes to show that despite AY and some Puntlander troops supporting Ethiopia, many Puntlanders were sympathetic to the cause of the ICU. Of course as Somalis they would be outraged seeing Christian foreigners invading Somalia and attacking Muslims, anyone would. This was also around the time ONLF had a resurgence since they condemned the Ethiopian invasion and promised that ENDF will never use Galbeed as a passage to Somalia. Islam really united all Somalis.

Theres I book I read which siad that since Ahmed gurey Ethiopians developped the "Ahmed gurey syndrome", if they see any strong Somali Islamic government rising they will do everything to sabotage it in a fear that it turns out like 1530 again
