You have Hausa/Fulani muslims whom detest and look down upon Yoruba muslims for example as a Somali muslims i really dislike Ethiopian muslims especially those from the Tigrey/Amhara muslims whom are enemies of the Somali muslims. The end of the day these tribes will side with the gaal brothers from the same ethnicity.
Just like the 2006 invasion of Soomaaliya when you had Ethiopian muslims killing Somali muslims. Ummah does not exist nor couldn't i care less about this fake ummah.

"Preventing" doesn’t mean anything to a mentally destabilized people. They will have it any way they like. Islam can try to prevent all it wants but not outright ban/haramify tribalism, hence tribalism never left the house.
