Why is Somalia still allies with Yemen, when Yemen contributed to the downfall of Somalia in 1977?​


Fast forward to today, we still have cases of Yemeni Houthis funding al-Shabab through Iran to destabilize Somalia and the Somali government.

The Somali people will always view them with suspicion considering what they did to us back then. But we have got to have diplomatic relationship with them since they are close to us and their government that control them at the time no longer exists.

Southern Yemen should be in our greater Somalia dreams. We actually have a historical claim to it, these Somalis need to stop treating Arabs as our superiors. We somehow lost Socotra to them.

No one treats them as anything more than the 5'5 they are sxb. They were getting chopped up and left to die in galbeed desert by us.

We'll take south yemen and Socotra some day

Well they aren't Arabs and Yemeni either. They are high % old Natufian stock, their own group. Somalis got as much a claim as they do.

I know they are not Somali but it is very strategic and interrupts our claim to certain waters. It’s just very convenient for us to annex it, Yemen doesn’t even control it it’s controlled by UAE

Somalis especially fobs back home have a soft spot for Arabs some even beg it to them we wuzz Arab and that nonsense. These boodiyars in Yemen mistreated Somali refugees and have the guts to look down us. I was seeing how they were making movies about Somalis with black faces, aren’t these ppl starving?

I hold no grudges to Yemen mainly because they've gone through utter shit as well. They put their faith in communist fools and messed up.
