And here I thought I spoke poor Somali. I don't know a single other person my age who speaks Somali that badly; her Somali definitely sounded like some other Afro-Asiatic language at times. It sounds like she hasn't spoken it in years, miskiinta.

I'd strongly encourage the sister to watch more videos (a dozen a day) on how other people speak Somali and for her to read more news/books/social media posts in the Somali language. She should then practice the language herself by speaking only Somali in every other video she posts in English. Carry on with this for a month or so and she'll be speaking like a pro, mark my words.
