Is this nationalistic song from Somalia or Somaliland?

Here it is:
My standard somali language skills aren't great. So if the song is in another dialect, I wouldn't be able to pick it up anyway.

So I'd like to hear your opinions on this. Thanks.

This song sounds like its in a regular Somali dialect.

If you want to learn Somali, please don't waste your time on nationalistic songs of a by gone era

There are quite a few Somali books these days and published Somali poems, that would be better learning for you.

Thanks for your quick reply. I just came across the song randomly on YouTube, it just sounded nice to me.

I've thought of buying one of those Somali language books, I'll definitely consider it.

Youre welcome
I've learned from experience that those songs are a complete waste of time.

It was made during the Kacaan when they wanted to induce extreme and hyped up nationalism, dont give it too much meaning.

You learn true knowledge from books and reading or even listening to poems if you want.

Most Somali songs tend to be in mudug dialect for some reason
that's not true.

the singers in that song are hiba nuura who is from awdal and tubeec(AUN) from hargaysa.
i think it depends on the artist and where they come from.
they might not read it as written.

I don't listen to somali songs but a more experience person told me that abwaan and singers like to write their lyrics in mudug because it fits well into somali melody

there's this famous song that saado cali(AUN) who is from the north and another singer from the south both sung, and you can tell there's a difference.

right now if you are reading a letter from say the somali government in mogadisho, do you read it in your own dialect or the one it's written?
I ready it in my own.

she's my favorite xaliimo singer!

I bet you never listened to a song of hers.

khasaaro baa tahay

That explains your long time crush on me.:ohhh:

My mother once dragged me to a Riwyaad (just b/c of qabil support)when she was in the city (before her retirement). :jcoleno:

you're crazy.:nahgirl: that's a whole lotta sacrifice.

comon, your comprehension sucks.:heh:

:trumpsmirk:I noticed you are warming to the idea. It doesn't threaten you as much anymore.

You know my prerogative when it comes to suitors:

- Get your funds up (100 k)
- Wire it to my account
- Become a social eunuch to naagaha
:win:This may or may not lead to bad things that are very halaal.

:stressed: My true fear is some crazy Abdi will actually fulfil this request. I haven't prepared for this.

:what1: Hater.
