IS THIS ETHICAL? HUSBAND DIED ONLY TO BE REPLACED BY HER "FRIEND" IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS!

Islamically in shafism there's a period of time before a women can get remarried I believe it's a month although don't take my word for it, my memory is rusty.

This is life as men. When we die we get replaced. What do you think happened to all the men that died in wars? Women moved on real quick

She probably had feelings fir this “Friend” though. Moved on too quickly but hey thats life. Always will be replaced. No one us irreplaceable.

Oh please, men move on a lot more frequently and with far less regard than women; men are far more likely to leave a sick or injured wife than the other way round.

You don't honestly think that being a man is harder, do you?

Studies show men move on very quickly and even culturally a widower will be told to remarry more so than a widow.

I don't know why men only want to write think pieces when women behave like them. A lot of the callousness we're finding in women has been normalised and even justified in men. Would such a thread cause an uproar if a man remarried straight away? No. Men often remarry whilst their wives are really ill and a couple of posters even said they'll take on a 2nd wife if their wives were too ill because they don't want to miss out on intimacy. We women have to take on this on the chin as societies have made this okay.

In saying this, no man or woman who truly loves you will be able to move on with such quickness. Islamically a woman can remarry after 3-4 months after her husbands death. If she does so right after the 3 months mark, would it leave a bad taste in my mouth? Yes, but I would just assume she never loved him.

They know it isn't. Studies show that a man is 6x more likely to leave a sick wife than the other way around. Studies show that a husband remarries a lot quicker than a widow. Ask doctors and nurses and they'll tell you a sick wife is more at risk of her husband leaving or cheating on her.

The issue is Nilotic is that society has normalised men moving on quickly. The very same men who'll attack women for behaving that way would justify a man doing so by saying stuff like he has needs ect.

Thats not fair tho-- women are naturally designed to be nurturing. Man is designed to wander around and spread his greetings

The friend is weird for doing this, I'd be paying close attention if I were a relative.
I can't blame the mother tho, she's probs hormonal and desperate for a father figure to be in her kids life, plus she's gonna be financially wrecked without additional income.
If I were the dead husband I'd probs feel a little pissed, I wonder how the dead husband's family is dealing with this.

Yes in Basra's world. We aren't animals huuno. We are humans blessed with compassion. As a mother of boys I assume, try to instill a sense of mercy in them.

My boyz are raised to be men. from age 7 to 12 sent to rural somalia for camel rearing and farming. Then they come back to the west for their schooling. Religion is emphasized. He is groomed to be a leader of his house, and not a half leader. :(

Well great as Prophet s.a.w is our example of an excellent leader and guess what? He was incredibly kind and compassionate. I'm often moved by how sad and effected he was by the passing of Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her. He called it the year of sorrow and was by her side whilst she was ill. He would after many years after her death send gifts to her friends out of love of her memory and in her honor.
