Is there any hope for Africa?

Is Africa hopeless? Africa is the face of poverty, every other continent has at least one or a few countries that are successful, Asia has Japan, Europe has Western Europe, North America has the USA, South America has Uruguay.

Almost all illegal immigrants to Europe & North America come from Africa. Are Africans not ashamed?

Whilst Africans that live in or grow up in the West as a whole do not seem to be doing as well either, with recent Asian immigrants outperforming us, with higher employment rates & higher salaries, meanwhile Africans in the West are more likely to be overrepresented in crime statistics.

People from Africa do not have a good reputation no matter how much some of us want to deny this.

Yet Africa is the one continent where there is not a single successful country. Not a single country can be pointed to as an example of a first world, developed nation. Why is this? Why has Africa failed? It has dozens of countries yet they're all poor, in civil war or on the brink of collapse. Africa is the face of poverty & failed states.

What's the real reason? Is it the Cold War? Colonialism?

Every time I get optimistic about somalia I get depressed cause I end up realizing somalia probably won't become an economically strong nation in my lifetime.

I genuinely feel bad for niggas born back home. It's going to be hard for a lot of guys to elevate in life if there aren't any jobs available.

I don't really care about the rest of Africa outside of just our east African neighbors like Kenya and Ethiopian. Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia would be the only African countries I would consider living in.

Why Kenya? But I agree with you, climate change will only make things worse. Only thing we can do is pray for them and support them as best we can.

I remember something I saw online which read something like

'There was a journalist in the civil war in (insert african country I forgot which one) and he asked a passerby ''Do you want peace?''

She replied with ''I would do anything for peace, even if it means losing my leg.''

He asked her ''Would you be willing to share power with the other tribes for peace?''

She retorted with ''I'd rather die than share power with those savages''

How relevant do you think this is to Africa's problems? Is it accurate?

Yes, Africa is doomed. Just look at what's happening in Sudan right now. You have niggas killing each other and destroying the country. Then you have the possible Congo vs Rwanda war. Plus Ethiopia will probably collapse in the next 10 years with the way Abiy Ahmed is acting. The list goes on.

The only decently run African countries are Botswana and Namibia from what i can tell.

Unfortunate truth, many of them seem to be one bad day away from complete collapse. Even the North isn't doing well nowadays.

Why do you think so? Optimism can be good but blind optimism is foolish, we must be realistic here. I personally believe that most of Africa is just destined to remain a shithole

Its even more embarrassing when Africans in the West lick the boots of the same dictators that made them poor in the first place. Acting as if Africa is a force to be reckoned with and not a shithole that depends on aid from the West simply to survive.

Where do i start. Let's make this as simple as we can.
If Africa improves and improves, they'll always be behind the rest. By the time African countries become clean, safe and wealthy, providing good education and healthcare for their people, developed countries will be as ahead as they are now. That may mean the ability to travel outside of earth and conquer other planets, possibly even move their people should earth become inhospitable. Or it may mean the ability to eradicate cancer, and increase the life expectancy by another 20 years, these two are just an example. For me success in Africa would mean closing the gap on developed nations in the next 10 years, maybe 20 years if we push it, and by closing the gap I mean African countries should be as advanced in every aspect 20 years from now as are the most advanced countries in 20 years. The dark continent has all the raw materials to do this but it lacks the most important one, the brains! Hope that made sense.

Too many artificial states for Africa to succeed. Majority of the African GDP is spent on keeping these artificial states together not development.

Doesnt cover some parts well and some things like how he exaggerates we were "doomed" from the beggining is false but this video explains it quite well how we are stuffed up (He also seems to have researched it well since he kind of simplified the qabiilism in the country and how it contributed to our downfall as well as other factors)
