Not really, if Burundi put their whole army inside Somalis then they would defeat Al Shabab just like Ethiopia did. The goal of AMISOM isn’t to destroy AS, rather to contain them. It’s a lucrative business for them that they don’t want to end.

I think we need to get over this idea that we will “unite”. Some say, if we were to face an enemy we would unite against them. Yet a look in our colonial history shows that we didn’t unite against the Italians, the British, or the Ethiopians. They all took each of our land, whilst we still continued to fight each other over petty clans. The threat of our children being converted to Christianity by colonial missionaries who established Churches across the Somali peninsula didn’t make Somalis unite. What we need is a cultural revolution.

Why pretend like we weren't united in the Ethiopian 77 war? We were on the verge of capturing all of Ethiopia. It was so successful at the beginning that we were gonna annex Harar and Oromo lands. Only stopped by the Soviets.

We must return to our Somali first roots. Too many qabilists yes but also Islamists. Somalinimo should be what unites us not religion or qabiil otherwise we'll always be easily divided
