No, it is simple, china is a state that wants complete obedience from their citizens, no thinking differently, especially from religious ppl. Christians are also discriminated against by the state.
No if it was so I believe China would have allowed journalists to go to Xingjiang interview freely to get rid of the accusation.
The uyghur genocide is also a cultural genocide not an ethnic genocide where actual people are being killed. The Han are trying to assimilate the uyghurs because they fear that they will try to secede. There are 20 million hui muslims living in the central of China and the government doesn't place them in camps like the uyghurs because there is no fear of them secceding
