Do you guys think becoming a nurse is worth it? I'm almost finished hs and like a typical somali girl, I was going to go into nursing. But a lot of older somali girls in my area was complaining about being a nurse, and how it isn't paying well and they get treated horribly...

Not a problem. Just the pay for nurses is a war crimeI want ti become a nurse, theres a couple of school I’ve been eyeing up. The field is dominated with women and i don't know if patients will hate seeing a male nurse take care of them. Any somali girls that are nurses or becoming nurse give me any advice ? Thank you

I don't think it's ceeb but some will see it as that. What's more pressing is, you'll be working in a female dominated industry and that'll come with it's own unique challenges. I was reading a story where 2 male OB/YGN nurses couldn't complete their degree for a year because they needed to sit in and assist in the delivery of a baby.
The problem was, either the lady or the husband wouldn't feel comfortable with a man being present in a very vulnerable time in her life (which is 1000% a validate reason). Due to that, they finished degree a year later.
It's less about being ceeb but more about screwing yourself over, think this through
