Is Somaliland similar to Scotland in the way it's a constituent country within the UK?

First of all if you knew about the history of the united kingdom. You would have understood the simple fact that there is no comparison to be made between the Scotts and the people of somaliland.
Queen Mary of Scotland has produced the heir of both England and Scotland. King James was her son. He inherited both thrones uniting both realms eventually.
The union between the nations in the UK is not recent like the one that happened in the horn.
The Scotts actually participate in the union while Landers are separatists. One tries to receive independence through the laws of the nation and international laws. While the other build it's own army to fight any potential unionists group or state that will try to liberate territories from said separatists government.
Finally the federal government will semi autonomy for said government. Yet that government does not opt for it.
Do you understand now how there is no comparison?

Stop pushing PL propaganda. Culturally PL residents are closer to the rest of Somaalia Italiana, especially GM, than they are with Sool. Northern DDS residents are much closer to Sool, politically and culturally than Pl residents. We would expect a genuine Benaadir/HS citizen to by trying to reunite former Soomaali Italiana instead of repeating PL lies about non existent Hartinimo to promote clan confederalism

No it hasn’t died out. Gaelic is still spoken there, especially north Scotland. A lot of the land marks, sign posts and billboards etc are in English as well as Gaelic.
As much as I sympathise with Somaliland, this is not true.
Somaliland does not control the entirety of its borders or its airspace.
Somalia, while not controlling its borders, is recognised as sovereign by every other nation on earth. Somaliland can only counter that by having territorial sovereignty in the areas which they claim, something that has not been achieved yet.

There are more Dhul subclans living with HJ than their are Dhul living with MJ, and because of that there are more intermarriage between them, so when you share land and family with someone you have more in common, wouldn't you say that?
That’s not the point, and my own family have a stake in Garowe as they live there, especially my auntie and her family.
If that means nothing (neighbors and family structures) then I don't know what connects people more.
In my case my mother is dhul, my dads mother is dhul, I'm married to dhul, and before my married, when the closest male family members went to her father all of the 8 men had a mother that was dhul from different subclans.
And I can guarantee you, that is the case for many of the HJ subclans living in proximity to the dhulbahante.
Somaliland controls 95% of its territory and airspace where Farmajo himself can't visit the country and it has its own laws and governing system which makes it an independent sovereign nation where Xamar doesn't have legal jurisdiction of that place.

Scotland does not have England holding 5% of its borders and Catalonia does not have Valencia making claims to their regions.
That's the major problem for Somaliland.
Well in the eastern borders you have your qabil state that claims our territory and every so year engages armed conflicts with our forces but that doesn't make Somaliland not a sovereign nation cuz that would mean Syria where its Golan heights is occupied not a sovereign nation or Ukraine with Crimea occupied by Russia
Golan Heights is regarded as Syrian by almost everyone, Crimea is regarded as Ukrainian by nearly everyone and Somaliland is regarded as Somalia's by everyone.
When you're a nation-state it's easier for there to be leeway. Hence why Somalia is sometimes regarded as a sovereign state.
But when you're attempting to assume the position of a nation-state like SL, it's a much different story.
