I've always wondered why southerners get pissed at the word naaya when it's just the female version of warya. Who allows you to call us warya if we can't call you naaya?

Warya and naaya are equally as rude if you’re using it to call someone who you’re either not familiar with, a loved one, a stranger, elder, etc. The only time really find it acceptable is between friends.

But I feel like its a very demeaning word, If a man isnt your father and he calls you Naaya, its becuase he doesnt see you as equal.
