I question how significant Bakaraha market is, if it was so significant, why can't it self fund the SFG? or even the local Banadir administration? I want to know what is the point of the port there when it doesn't provide enough revenues for government to fund itself? that was terrible idea putting a port investment in a city like that and now it's not performing well enough to provide the SFG a taxation stream to self fund itself.
I never see the locals doing 'self funded' projects beyond 'sweeping' the streets on the odd occasion lol. Not a single school, road, port, hospital, MCH. Nil, they are like ghetto people who just consume and sit there and expect everything to come to them. Are these people wise 'economical investments'? Do Somalis have the balls to discuss how to guide Somali aid money to regions that can produce a return.
I mean why is the southie better off in PL as trader and higher income yet in his own mogadishu he reverts back to ghetto living? this is substantial proof by injecting more aid and investment into PL, you will find an over-all economical benefit for not only puntites but also southies while the government can continue to demonstrate their taxation revenue is increasing and therefore becoming less aid reliant year by year. Heck we can even forecast and timetable when PL will become aid free if we begin 'measurements' of our economical performance. Puntites can then put 'aside' a portion of it's GDP to re-pay back it's foreign Somali loan to ensure our Somali credit rating never reaches those DEBT trap levels again. Somalia over-all internationally starts getting applauded and more business partners start to see opportunities, it's all for Somali interest to allocate 60% of any donor or foreign aid fund to PL and the rest to other regions.
Wallahi just watch the SFG never grow it's taxation revenue, yet how much money has been dumped into mogadishu? can someone do the calculations from those turk roads, hospitals, budget support it recieves. What in the hell has changed in terms of the SFG becoming more self sufficient, it hasn't even reached the PL stage of self sufficient govt that pays for itself, PL govt even co-pays into it's own projects also at local district level.
The only thing PL gets assistance on is IDP matters which is you GUYS so we can transition them into a better life, iyago ghetto style bay noo yimadeen, and when we send them back to you, they own 2 properties, cars, wives, and business. Surely someone can see the superior Puntite? does anyone ever go to Hargeisa and come back 'better off'? can hargeisa survive without DDSI camel trade? as Somalis hadi run aan laysu sheegaynin iyo economical discussion and ranking Somali cities with the best outlooks, we are hurting the whole nation by showing the world our emotions for our clans and regions is guiding our investment decisions not the actual performance and return of those investments.
Lastly I would like to say SOUTH WILL NEVER RISE AGAIN. Geopolitically the trade corridor of oman and zanzibar made those coastal areas important in the south, today they have nothing to negiotate on with the world. If we adopted the singapore model and placed our capital in Bosaso, they would be serious about offering '1st world training and funding' in order not to disturb it's trade life-line in red sea.
