I forgot to articulate my point. I meant that Somalis were always stoic.

I read in a book somewhere that Somali nomads never had sex out of love, but for the sake of procreation. I can't find the page, but it's probably somewhere in this book.

I won't disagree with your point about Somalis being stoic, but I find your other point funny. It seems naive to think a group of people, especially one so stoic, would admit to having sex for any other reason than procreation. Besides, who, where, and how large was the sample that was surveyed to then assume that this was a collective Somali practice, and how was this information verified? I have lived with real re baadiyo people, as traditional as they come, and they get it on every night for fun

Sxb nearly all of our songs are about love and our gabay, geerars (wax sheeg guud oo dhan ba) Somali are romantics but not as brazen as the gaalo oo afka iska dhuuqdo. We have sariig iyo miyir dhaqameed oo naga celiso ceebaha fadeexada. Marka sxb the notion that somalis are unromantic is really an ignorant one and one that is only based on one frame of reference. There are many ways of expressing love
