When there's war, people tend to turn more conservative and turn to religion. As Muslims, we realized that a socialist atheist dictatorship didn't work so the obvious thing would be to turn to Islam and the Shariica for guidance and ruling in a country with no laws.

Could also be Saudi influence most likely.
