Is it true that Africans and Asians don’t have a lot of body hair or is it just a stereotype?

Because a lot of North Africans are hairy asf. When my dad didn’t shave for a couple of days, he looked like an African warlord lumberjack. My black friends and family says it peculiar because blacks are known for lack of body hair.

Sub Saharan Africans aren't hairy and East Asians are also not hairy.

They do have Arab in them so that could explain it.

North Africans are Mediterraneans (for the most part).
And it's usually the Central and East Asians who are not so hairy (except for the Indigenous people of Japan, the Ainu who are extremely hairy).

But Somalis (or Cushites), it may vary.
I'm the hairiest dude in my family, and I have seen many other Somalis with the same features.

When you say Asians, I guess you don’t mean South . Plus some Africans are pretty hairy. If all the women in my family didn’t wax,dermaplane and shave frequently, we’d have moustache, beard and long sideburns
