Is it time Somalia changes its capital?

After the recent football tournament that was held in Xamar which resulted in Koonfur Galbeed football players facing prejudice and xenephobia it has really made me wonder whether Somalia can have Mogadishu as its capital any longer. How can it remain as the capital when we can't even hold conducive football tournaments without chaos and tribalism getting involved?

I used to be of the view that Xamar is the best place for the capital but as of recent that has changed. We need a new capital where all somalis are welcomed and nobody is sidelined. Where nobody feels like they own the capital over anyone.

The capital must be in a location where the native population aren't tribalistic and xenephobic. Where a Somali whether they are Dir,Daarood,Hawye, Digil iyo mirifle, and beesha shanaad can all claim and be welcomed.

If Somalia wants to progress this is a discussion that must take place. I am sick and tired of people claiming Xamar to be theirs and otherizing other clans that live there.

I wanna hear people's thoughts. And btw I am not trolling I am dead serious about this, recent events have made me really consider if Xamar is a suitable capital anymore.

We need to build new capital and the population need not to exceed 500k at max.
