Is it odd that I want a separate bedroom from my future husband?

I think sleeping in the same bedroom is not gonna do it for me. I am a very light sleeper and get disturbed easily. On top of that I want my own closet, vanity, and bathroom. I also want to design my bedroom the way I want. If i get annoyed at him, I can go to my room and be alone lol.

Historically married couples had separate bedrooms, why they treating it like its a shock? i wouldn't even mind living in a duplex together. Him his own home and mine my own. That he paid for of course, but that's probably not gonna happen so i'm settling for my own bedroom.


what y'all think? you want your own bedroom? shared bedroom? even separate homes?

Isn't there a hadith about how the angels curse the woman who refuses to sleep with her husband? If he would like you to sleep together I'm sure this would fall under this if you refuse

Own bedrooms is good enough, since we all have different sleeping schedules.

damn, is that why i wake up out of breath sometimes? i've tried sleeping on my side, but i end up waking up on my stomach
