Yeaah.... nah thats not always the case, I always see this potrayed on Social media. Literally the MAJORITY of my relatives who are mixed (or people I know in my local community) know their daqhan and their dad is somali. My Somali-syrian relatives speak expert somali lol, and the other case happens, I have a female relative who married a Malaysian and its the opposite and the kid even has a non-muslim, non-somali name...

So its individual, but in my experience mixed somalis with somali dads speak the language as well as me or better lol even their mom speaks the language. Yeah there might be some cases where that doesnt happen, cuz the dads too busy or doesnt prioritise it I know examples of that too.
