Is Islam Responsible For Lack Of Rule Of Law

I think it was easier for fuedal societies like east-asians and westerners to begin implementing rule of law institutions like constitutions, courts, prisons, policing, army, and create sophisticated societies by using their ancient serf ranking system and modernizing it with obviously different titles, but the same top-down heirachy is clearly seen where power and authority is centralized at the top. U see this structure constantly where-ever they congregate as groups, they begin organizing a heirachy, responsibilities, and institutions to manage the populace. The populace also love and trust this system and work with it well. U see it in office teams, police, courts, military, sports, there is always that 'structure of command' that keeps the serfs and peasants organized and structured.

In east-asian culture, it's even further structured at family unit level where the eldest is honored and respected for decision making and the family bowing in respect. In Islam, it said u cannot bow to no man and it equalized people saying no-one can order anyone else and all are under god equal. This would mean no society possible, they had to innovate quickly in the early islamic eras and add these structures they encountered when they met these new communities or else civilization will cease to exist and everywhere would've turned out like the saudi desert because that is what u get when u don't have a fuedal system of heirachy at a cultural level, it means every man for himself and no group coordination.

This is why I think our society wasn't ripe for becoming a modern nation, because it was absent in our religion to create a fuedal society back thousands of years ago and begin structuring who is boss and who is serf and eventually codifying it as the rule of law, because it's very easy to roll out democracy and give people the vote, but it's very difficult to change a society values and if each one of them thinks they are above the system and report to no man because allah said so, then cooperation cease to exist and we all return to hunter gatherers.

Even when u meet Somalis in the diaspora or even in the nation, they all prefer just opening up a shop or driving a cab where there is no 'authority' and they can be their own boss, they simply have a distain for the rule of law at a cultural level and if it is distained at a cultural level, you will remain in a country that is forever mired in corruption from the lowest level such as cleaners to the highest level of elites, it's just normal not to respect the rule of law in Somalia and no nation can progress with-out this fundamental support.

Romanticizing feudal systems is a disease in the heart.

Islam has nothing to do with your claim, it ruled fine for over a millennium.

The problem actually is the inverse of your claim, a lack of Islam.

Someone that fears Allah and knows there will be a meeting with him very soon with either eternal bliss or damnation awaiting at the other end would never behave in the shameless manners we see today.

Islam is the only cure for Somali's, and I don't mean the fake outwardly wadaad BS we see today but I am talking about the embodiment of it' principles inwardly and outwardly.

The people who delve into corruption, tribalism and support injustice as you outlined are spiritually dead people, they have no iman and are only Muslims by name.

When Islam is properly implemented, you actually get stability and rule of law, because the impartial shariah courts keep everyone in check, even the ruler. It's when they use Islam for personal benefit the system crumbles.
