Silly question.

People were laughing at art students until they found out how much graphic designers can get paid.

I would advise everyone to do something they enjoy and can do for the rest of their lives.

You learn a ton in University and furthermore education regardless of what you pick.

Also HR people are lazy ASF. They'll just pick the ones with the highest qualifications and go back to stalking people on Facebook.

As someone who is in university in a Non-Stem field if you don't chain it into something like law school or the diplomatic services I think it's pretty useless yes.
True, there’s this white girl who studied classical music in uni had high grades and took premed classes on the side who finished med school a while back.

I don’t think that it’s a waste of time. This world would be boring if everybody did the same thing.
I agree that pursuing an arts career can be lucrative but don’t you think they’re better off taking a certificate program and building a resume instead of going to college for it?

It depends. You can have a useless degree with history and work for an MP or lobbyist group with expense account and you can have a engineering degree and work at Tesco. I have seen these examples. It depends on your networking and communication skills which is more important than the degree. If you have no networking or communication skills, you will be working at Tesco when you're done school.

No lol

A certificate program won’t help you learn design skills nor will you have an art portfolio. Do what you are passionate about and practice, practice, practice..that’s what university allows you to do.
