The best mainland European countries for Africans are France or Netherlands. There are a lot of Africans and Caribbeans who have gained citizenship in these countries and are well integrated. Just look at the national football teams of those countries and you will see a lot of players of African and Caribbean descent, compare that with the German team which is almost entirely white.

It's because Germany lost the last big war (WW2) they can't afford to be liberal like U.S/UK/France they have to be kind of on guard otherwise they are completely gone. Whilst the winners of WW2 they are hegemonists and can afford to be liberal since the world is theirs and their own countries is like the centre of the empire.

Germany is pretty relaxed tbh specially the major cities have alot of diversity ,even tho black people as a whole are more rare than France or UK for example.
