Let's put this to bed once and for all!
He isn't there yet but the following facts supports my argument that he has taken a dictator-like steps to scrap the checks and balances that were in place ;
- Got rid of Jowahiri from day one and when his replacement tried to make the parliament independent from the executive branch, he immediately stripped him from his security detail, cut electricity and threatened him using NISA as weapon. With this move, he effectively naturalized the lower house
-Totally scrapped a federal army that was supposed to represent the federal member states, and instead trained his own army using state and international donations money to intimate and harass the opposition
-In his second year, he started to try and bring his own men to federal state members. Started with Southwest, followed by Hirshabbelle, Galmudug and Banadir. Fortunately his next target Jubaland with the support of Puntland stood firm and denied him what would have a been a total power grab.
- He has never publicly stated he's a candidate for a second term confirming that he isn't willing to contest in a fair election
- He supported the illegal lower house extension even-though the illegal extension should have been voted in the upper house
So an honest question for NN supporters here.
If we want a modest checks and balances system and we brand the only two states that stood against a total power grab as traitors , tell us who would put Farmajo on check if he gets out of line? We know the parliament is compromised , 2/3 of federal states are compromised and the Somali national army no longer represent the whole Somalia .....?
