It looks like my theory stands.

My theory is that Somalis disown those they perceive as unsavoury and then attempt to palm them off to other ethnic groups. This woman is apparently a Nilotic Samburu now.

Nah the term Sijui comes from Somalis that used to live in non-NFD Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania that spoke Swahili as a first language and didn't know much Somali.
