According to many leftists & zionists, Arabic language in the continent of Africa should be considered a colonizer language no different than English,French,Portuguese & Afrikaans. Do you agree?

world is dog eat dog. Native americans and africans were met with superior civilziations from europe and arab world who killed, stole, and sold people. Africans also did it to groups within continent that was weaker. way world works for most of history until modern times were people trying to be more civilized until masks drop when things like gaza war happens
It's complicated, it's a conquering language that formed outside Africa but was mostly adopted gradually after the conquests through contact.
But also, so what? Arabs were just the last major cultural expansion in the Afro-Arabian desert. It's not a coincidence that it spread most successfully into the same areas where there was already distantly shared ancestry, language, crops and domesticated animals before Islam.

There is no historical evidence tho for Arab Bedouin tribes imposing their language on others. Nor any medieval kingdom forcing non-Arab North Africans to speak Arabic. French for example was imposed on my many Africans in a deliberate way to create little French men. There is no precedent for that in Africa when it comes to Arab tribal migrations in the year 1000 for Egypt/Maghreb or 16th century for Sudan/Sahel. Arabic became a lingua Franca between Muslim regions.
Iran & Central Asia lived under the Islamic Caliphates (Rashidun, Ummayad & Abbasid) for centuries yet don’t speak Arabic today although Farsi like Somali has significant Arabic loanwords. Egypt didn’t even start speaking Arabic until centuries after Amr bin Al Aas conquest let alone convert to Islam.

Africa is the second largest continent in the world, what’s considered a “colonizer” language for some isn’t for others. A South Sudanese (OP’s nationality) and a Somali or North Sudani’s views on Arabic and its history are completely different.

People who feel like that are anti Islamic or have had Arabic weaponised against them, leading to language erasure or discrimination, either through state or everyday social activities. The treatment of Nubian speakers/people in Egypt or Berbers in some parts of North Africa are good examples how Arabic can be utilised as a tool of discrimination.

There have always been Arab tribes living in the Sinai Peninsula, even before Islam. Her people only embraced Christianity due to British imperial missionaries in the 19th century, Imagine speaking in English and complaining that Arabic is a coloniser language.Notice how they attack Arabic but not French or English.

Arabic did not come through colonialization. It existed in the continent for so long that if we spoke English to a 7th-century ancestral Anglo, we could not understand them.
Besides, Semitic is an African offshoot branch with ancestral roots not far from her origins. Arabic was a re-introduction.

Among Somalis and other Muslim Horn Africans it's just a religious language that is taught in education. Somali Is our tounge and is primary and always will be most spoken in the peninsula.

Berbers are losing their language to Darija due to them migrating to historically Arabophone cities/regions for opportunities. Those who remain in their regions generally keep their language in Morocco. Can’t speak for Algeria.
But the Moroccan elite are a bunch of francophiles who detest Arabic & Berber. If you go to Rabat and see the elite and their children exclusively speaking French between themselves. These elites are mentally colonized little French men.
Tunisia & Libya have been thoroughly Arabized because of the large amount of Arab tribesmen that arrived and that’s because they are the most Eastern regions of the Maghreb and had very suitable regions for Bedouin lifestyle while they generally didn’t have large populations especially in sparsely populated Libya.
This is the same reason why Sudan has far more Arabs than Egypt (restricted to the Sinai,Libyan border region & some parts of the south). The geography of Sudan favoured Bedouin settlement.
This is normal behaviour among neighbouring African groups. You seen this between the Tutsis & Hutus or between Somalis & Bantus (Madow vs Lamagoodle/Farodheere) or between Fulanis & practically every group in West Africa.
There’s also the pastoral vs settled people’s dynamic which always causes tension especially when the nomads are suffering or moving into new contested lands for environment.

It’s a dumb map. Coastal SL unlike Jabuuti doesn’t have a large Yemeni community. Do they exist in places like Berbera, yes I’ve seen them with my own eyes but they are a tiny minority.@Garaad Awal have you seen this map on twitter they think majority of people in SL and Djibouti are Arabic speakers
Recently a video of a Moroccan who went to Hargeisa and tried speaking Arabic with locals. It was a disaster
Unlike in Jabuuti he had an easier as the locals have more knowledge of Arabic compared to reer SL

The Berber Senhaja Almoravids were fanatic Muslims and even when they expanded into Al-Andalus after taking the Western Maghreb were seen by the Christians of Al-Andalus as completely alien as the Andalusis tended to be a lot more moderate & tolerant. Yusuf bin Tashfin could barely speak Arabic according to some historians. They were responsible for bringing conservative Sunni Islam that existed in the East to the Maghreb. As the Berbers at that mainly practiced syncretic forms of Islam. The Almorsvids also believed that men’s faces should be covered similarly to how the Tuaregs of today dressed. Must have been surreal for the Muslims & Christians of Iberia to see these veiled desert warriors for the first time.
The Almohad Masmuda Berbers actively fought off the Arab tribal migrations (or invasion) of the Bani Hilal and smaller allied clans like the Bani Ma3qil. The Battle of Setif, the Almohad Berbers and their allies defeated a large host of rebellious Arab horsemen of the Bani Hilal.
Both of these non-Arab dynasties were responsible for checking the growing Christian powers of Castille,Portugal & Aragon especially the Almoravids.May Allah be pleased with all the heroes of Islam like Mujahid Yusuf bin Tashfin. Neither of them Arabized the Western Maghreb. Arabization mostly occurred in the modern era for Morocco and even many parts of Algeria.
IF arabic is a colonizer tongue, then you know what other thing would be colonizer tongue? Every single Language that is not ethnic group based would count. English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Portugese, Arabic.
Only a few languages would not count, I think somali wouldnt count since its ethnic locked.

Somali could be considered a colonizer language for the Bantus/Madowweyne & the Bajunis/Reer Baraawe.
Borana Oromo could be considered a colonizer language as the Ajuuraan,Degodia & Garre speak their language mainly and lost their Somaloid languages.

Arabic is the language of religious instruction and the language in which the Quran was revealed. It didn’t reach the Somali lands through conquest, therefore it isn’t a colonisers language.
