I've actually watched that first video, where he primarily focused on presentism as a logical fallacy when tackling Aisha's age at the time of consummation. I found it enlightening and it did help me at the time, but I feel like, as a woman, I'll never feel completely on board with that hadith, even if I consciously accept it on a rational level for the sake of Allah (SWT). Maybe I should watch it again.

When I was her age, I had no concept of sex or romance so the fact that some backward types of Muslims like the Timmy Js who've used it to justify harming little girls will always make my stomach turn...

There's too many problems with Aisha's age at consummation. Just ignore that Hadith even though its sahih. You'll be stuck in a never ending cycle of questioning your religion if you keep on reminding yourself of her.

This is like the second “sign” I’ve gotten this year to be Muslim again I’ll probably consider it atp cuz this hit a little too close to home

Hedonism is a two face beast it gives the allure of freedom but all it wants is to waste your life energy. its not freedom to be enslaved by your desires but instead to control them is where true freedom lies.

Aisha stuff is a hardpill to swallow but it doesn’t negate the deen. At most its a culture shock to our standards compared to how they were living back then.

What is there to be “shameful” of? This is something I don’t understand about you Muslims. If you want to feel ashamed look at Al-shabab burning down buildings and bombing down hospitals. Look at the Middle East in general or most Muslim worlds. You people destroyed Somalia with your extreme ideologies. If you guys behaved yourself and fixed your country most of us wouldn’t have left Islam. Because of you guys destroying Somalia and producing Al-shababs. Our parents forced us to flee to a western world. We are a product of our environments it’s human nature. Most of us westerners are influenced in the western worlds. I decided to leave because it’s a personal decision I made.

Most of us that left the faith have made their decisions. We’re adults living in a free world country where we can decide for ourselves. If you want to feel ashamed look at Muslim countries that destroyed theirs and put our parents here. You guys are the one that should be ashamed. So shame on you.

I agree with you but the civil war had nothing to do with Islam. But still I feel bad for minorities living in Muslim countries. It’s the same story in every Muslim country, minorities are oppressed and persecuted. Always at risk of some random Muslim mob coming down to their neighbourhood and burning down their houses, places of worship or just straight up killing them. It’s sad.

And why should we be ashamed? This isn’t Somalia, Muslims cannot control or intimidate us into silence. They can’t even handle a non-Muslim stating their opinion. I really don’t understand how this Muslim mindset survived all the way to the 21st century.
