The modern ones are very different from the stereotype. Nowadays they are corporate types making money on tax evasion. Also, they are not as conservative/religious as people make them out to be as their prime minister is a gay half Indian and they legalized gay marriage and abortion.

In such an alternate reality, there would've been a "special relationship" between the USA & Somalia.

Cadaan respected and somewhat feared somalis for being rebellious and fearless with no inferiority. For such a thing to happen we would have to be weak and docile like the asians and white passing races. If we were christian and agreed with their hypothesis of us being dark caucasians, they would have allowed us to migrate and live among them.

However we were strong willed but tribalistic and vicious to each other. Short sightedness was our weakness.
