I've bought the dip and will continue to until it reaches 2 dollars again. I've been researching this coin for the past couple of weeks and am 90% sure it will surge in price this coming year. This coin and Dent coin will be one of the many winners this year especially once government regulations are pushed thru that will shutdown most cryptocurrencies. I'm not a financial advisor obviously but I would definitely buy this coin (whoever is reading this).
There would be some future crypto regulations but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. 2018 will be the year of many useful alt coins with solid projects.

I believe that already happened last year. The market is over-saturated with crappy altcoins that only have a white paper (probably made on google docs) that sells dreams. Most of the useful altcoins have already been listed. 2018 will be the year of regulation and mass FUD.
As weird as it seems, I'm enjoying the journey more than anything else. Whatever happens, I say bring it on!

Ripple will be the cryptocurremcy (digital asset) winner this year. It's the only coin that has a real world utility and has more news coming out then all the other 1000+ coins combined. I've been keeping an eye on it for months now and I'm very confident the price will dramatically increase by EOY. I'll be posting articles on here for the people that are skeptical.

That's a tough question since no one can safely predict the true value of XRP. Last year the Ripple CEO said he doesn't do price speculation and that he only cares about the value in the next 3-5yrs. For me personally, I don't plan on selling until I see a minimum of $100 per XRP and I'm willing to wait a few years. However I'll continue to buy until we reach $5 per XRP. I tell all my friends to throw in a few hundred or a few thousand (whatever they can afford) and forget about it for a year or two. It all boils down to patience and extensive research. If you're willing to wait a few years then put in a few hundred for a nice return but if you're tryna make the big bucks, I suggest you put in much more.
If 1 XRP = $100 then you only need 10k to get that million. Just remember the real value comes in when all financial institutions are using Ripple XRP and it becomes the standard. For example, if Ripple takes over the current SWIFT bank transfer system then something like this could occur...

100B XRP were created at the first ledger on RCL (Ripple Consensus Ledger). This number is hard coded into the Ripple ledger and cannot be changed. Ripple sells some of these 100B to fund the operations of the company and plans to use some to incentive the adoption of RCL/XRP. Ripple currently holds around 63B remaining XRP while the other 37B are held by outside entities. They update these numbers (XRP distribution) every Thursday here: https://ripple.com/xrp-portal/. That same page also gives some guidance as to how many they plan on holding at the end of 2020 (50B). This gives us an idea of how many they plan to distribute for the next few years.
A small amount of Ripple are destroyed overtime there is a transaction on the network. These destroyed ripple (they disappear never to come back) act as an anti-spam mechanism on the network. For example if someone tried to spam millions of transactions on the network the fee would quickly escalate making such an attack very expensive. You can see the rate of destroyed XRP (network fees) here: https://charts.ripple.com/#/metrics. This means the total supply of XPR is slowly decreasing. I believe since 2013 roughly 4M XRP have been destroyed.
