Marehan don’t care for daarood or Hawiye they’re opportunistic and an exhausted Hawiye-daarood is in their best interest. A weak daarood gives them the opportunity to represent daarood at the highest office and a weak Hawiye makes them lead villa somalia. They always find a way to lead Hawiye even if they have to bribe them the last dollars in the coffers. marehan and Mj both like to sideline one of the hag clans while OG has no interest in divided Hawiye and always fought the United Hawiye clans in galbeed- hiraan borders in the 80’s and 90’s.
marehan is divided into two camps in gedo one led by reer diini-reer Ahmed and another led by the reer xasan plus any clan that’s dissatisfied at that time. The reer xasan are pro madoobe because the rest of marehan are related and they always try to gang on them. Before madobe OG xasan turki had his battle grounds in gedo in the 90’s he’s the one who let a lot of marexaan graze their animals in Maxamed subeer lands.

Interesting. I have a relative from Luuq who told me about Reer Hassan alot they seem to be the biggest mx subclan who should lead them in the federal politics and in JL. Currently they have the JL vice president and gedo governor. Mx and Abgaal are led by smaller jufooyin. Reer Hassan are like wacbuudhan who are atleast half of Abgaal if not more than that but you have the smallest waceysle who have more influence than them it has to do with their HG neighbours who like to empower them against harti who r allied with Mj and Daarood. Similarly reer Diini are not even majority in Caabduwaaq and are much smaller in Gedo but they like to imitate Maxamuud Saleebaan mj who r majority in mj and PL by taking every thing like all the mx jobs in Xamar 90% is them!
UPD are now impowering the silent majority in Gedo against the waceysle of mx to finish them once and for all and Mahad Salaad is waiting them in Galmudug as its next president

Reer Hassan are politically weak today. Ahmed Bulle Gared is only Maqaarsaar for the Marehan elites in daawo area. You’ve seen when they sidelined Maxamud Sayid & forced Mucalimo to flee to Garbahareey. Ugaaska Reer Hassan Ugaas Yarow was even refused entry into his own region.
Until Reer Hassan solidify themselves as a military force in Daawo area and mobilize their tribe then they will rise to the top. Until now they are at the bottom of the barrel.
