I like Siyad(deep down) because he did leave something behind, something is better then nothing(91). Plus my father did make himself a career during his 'era' which obviously 'flows' into my 'opportunity' today in Australia. Cuz only those type of guys 'cheerlead' the soldiers on the battle field or cheerlead their leaders.

When I enter a 'project' for security, we appreciate their is 'system' to begin with, it may not be 'ideal savings wise' but it's better then a 'vacuum' no 'security' kkkkk. So yeah after 91 having 'vacuum' was terrible, that is like in IT terms 'infrastructure failure', our whole dept wouldn't be able to store, transmit, and manipulate their information. It would affect reports, people work, policy, no function would happen.

I will continue on the work of the great somalis that have brought inspiration and not destruction "fowdo", Somalia needs nidaam kaladambeyn or fundamental structures that allow for self sufficiency to become normalized. People need to know that there is a social and academic hierarchy in the country and will be forced to play the roles designated by their credentials or skills. I am a proponent of having a large populace with technical skills and STEM proficiency which is something I have expertise in. Setting up the system for this revolution of educating the youth is paramount to future success. Many people of the older generation were given scholarships by Siyaad to go study overseas and return back to Somalia and teach what they learned to many or hold positions of power to benefit their nation. Which is why all positions should be held for those who have the background and not because of tribal affiliations.

We can't allow for the populace to be dependent on the UN for aid or AMISOM for security, it's not something that should have lasted for this long. A basic notion that all citizens should be aware of is that no organization or individuals can raise you out from an unfortunate predicament if you don't come with the resolve to take matters into your own hands.

In terms of Security I believe the tribal structure can be helpful in recruiting soldiers to protect your land from bandits (mooryaan) and insurgents and once much of the lands are secure the reconciliation process can be a lot more productive. At this rate the world community doesn't care much for curbing the insurgency as long as they maintain their containment mission. However for us we need peace and security to be strong so we can guarantee investors safety in the land without that they won't dare to venture in unstable grounds.

Our banking and financial industries need to be reformed to compete with the 21st century, our regulations and laws can be lax to ensure exponential growth for local businesses and entice foreigners into investing since they can also receive great returns from a developing nation. Taking advantage of natural resources will also give our government the ability to raise the living conditions to ensure a motivate populace. The construction of roads, schools, hospitals, and other necessary infrastructure will ensure jobs for many and growth from the influence effect.

Youth can learn basics such as first aid, mid wife skills and clean sanitary practices to make sure mortality rates and unnecessary deaths are avoided. Learning these skills from the organizations that claim to help us will prove to be much more beneficial in the long run than the money they throw around.

All of this would been in practice in the 90s up until now, however since the civil war set us back from that goal by many decades there is a difficult road ahead of us. But as long as the right people are in leadership positions it's possible to bounce back and it starts with xasilooni siyasadeed "political stability"

@Dues Ex Machete wow you seem to produce some content even though it was clearly 'bias' towards siyad nothing wrong with bias, just declare it early in your academic paper or else it can be seen as 'academic misconduct' I am learning the academic culture thru my masters, it's not the same as civilian world or internet websites. It's different culture again inside academia to govt and to private market. You seem not to 'adapt' well into structures and know how to work within the rules an systems to achieve your 'siyad barre' love.

@Dues Ex Machete the actual part of governance is easy it's the political instability that is the problem, even in Australia it's not their 'machine' the governance that is the problem as it's following scientific model, it's the politicians who have different ideas how to 'steer' it and they have their agendas, philosophies, where they want to see their ppl, some are 'risk averse' and want to deal with enemies or immigrants, it's a mixed bag like Puntites are about the 'south'.

The art of governance is simple, set timetable so their is structure, collect the needs of all Somalis cities, towns, villages. Find what their needs are, determine if they are 'similar', score priority need who needs it most, execute a time of completion for each area, set up the resources man, budget, funding requirements. Demonstrate your model to the funder cause noone is giving u shit untill u prove it 'on paper' and all the 'risks' are answered.

Then it will be rolled in out in 'stages' first phase, complete that before we go next stage like a fkn baby ba tahay to the world. At least tell them u will complete the humanitarian era by this 'data' so u can move to the next 'phase'. It has to be structured and time lines and phases. Everytime u do it, determine the 'savings' be it financial or to the lives of the people. Move to health, schools, roads, whatever the priority is. But u need to do following federal structure, let the regions handle their own issue as they may not have the same problem as the south.
