I honestly though he was guilty but the prosecution made some procedural mistakes and a lot of evidence couldn't be admitted into court allowing for the client to be freed.
:drakewtf:Why would you take the job if you thought he was guilty? It makes me sick to think that potential devils are free to roam due to some procedural mistakes tbh. I can empathize with a lot of things but pedos are the one group I couldn't give a single f*** about. They can rot.

Because any modern retsstat (Law and order state) have a presumption of innocence and in case with doubt or no clear evidence it is better to let 100 criminals go then let one innocent person rot in prison.

I didn't know he was guilty when I took the case but if every lawyer said no to defend the most horrible people then you'd be left with no retsstat at all.

You can always judge a society on how it treats those is disagrees the most with. Think about that next time.

Right, I agree. The presumption of innocence is integral to any justice system (including mob justice :sass2:) but the moment I find out that my client is actually guilty...is the moment when I'd have to drop the case and leave it to someone else's conscience. It's why I could never be a criminal lawyer; the justice system is not about real justice/truth.
