Their airlines are going downhill. Especially Southeast Asia. Only Allah knows when some of them have been last checked.

Indonesia is notorious for planes going down.

But we also have to realize that their number one mode of transportation is airplanes since they are made of so many islands. A combination of 3rd world behavior compounded with too much air plane use has doomed Indonesian air safety to disastrous results. On any given day they have 400 flights in that country with loose regulations and money hungry owners of airline companies who will short cut on safety.
