What island?Very nice looks similar to the mountains on the island off the coast of Zelia.
That's near somaliland. Shame we didn't get the socatra archipelago islands. Tho i think it's haunted or cursed, which is why our ancestors stayed away from it.
We have mangrooves like the ones in Zeila too
Some of us have deep connections (Puntites more so than others) to the Socotris and especially to the Mehris. That's near somaliland. Shame we didn't get the socatra archipelago islands. Tho i think it's haunted or cursed, which is why our ancestors stayed away from it.
You gonna bribe them? tbh i don't think yemen will be able to recover in time and the uae and other arab states want to annex it.Some of us have deep connections (Puntites more so than others) to the Socotris and especially to the Mehris.

I think it's soon time to make use of these connections and jointly explore Yemen's EEZ around Socotra, just like Qatar and Iran work jointly on their respective gas fields in the Persian Sea.
The Yemenis/Mehris have the claim to Socotra through population and historic Sultanates (Mahra Sultanate as recently as 1967) while Somalis have understandable geographic and geopolitical interests.
Plus honestly this EEZ just seems a little overreaching towards the south-east of Socotra and also too close to Puntland territorial waters south-west of the island.
The Harti (i.e. MJ mainly) in Oman and Yemen as well as the Mehris in Puntland need to make this happen sooner than later.
I think Puntland will be able bring its oil to the surface sooner than Yemen. After they prosper they can offer expertise and some material support in exchange for joint cooperation in certain areas.
Plus imagine the epic isbaaro we could set up if world politics get too heated for us,
while we are chilling here
or lounging under dragon trees
or one of those
Also Puntites should import some of those endemic plants from Socotra to attract tourists. I think they can be cultivated in Bari.
