Guys why do Somalis comment in the hundreds whenever mentioned by tacbaan fb page? There’s a guy making money on a daily basis by his fb page called “We AFrican nations”. Whenever that guy wants huge traffic he gets a Somali female picture and Somalis come rushing in.

I urge you to go on that AFrican Union BS and scroll through the other women mentioned and look how people from those nation don’t even comment. Just look at the one about this pilot lady loooooooool.

Each clan forming their own party makes sense when thrusting western democratic institutions onto a still largely isolated and traditional Somali population.

Also, western countries began their democracies in a similar way, just instead of 100 subclans, they identified with rigid socioeconomic classes. You can still see it in the Labour vs Conservative party struggles in many of those countries today.

Perhaps if we had more than 9 years with an illiterate and uneducated population struggling to grasp concepts like 'nation', 'economy', and 'election', we might have a relatively stable and fair democracy by now. Instead, we're still trying to achieve one person one vote again, which we've already accomplished way back in 1960. Thanks Siad Barre.

As for corruption, the dictatorship was far more corrupt than the democratic governments that preceded it. Tell me, which administration from 1960-1969 used the national army to kill its own citizens? Don't worry, I'll wait.
