Janaale was freed by late Dir Dhagabadan and Amisom in 2014 during the operation indian ocean. Al Shabaab regained lower Shabelle under Farmaajo so any liberated area is not new. the only new place he liberated was buurdhuubo in Gedo and it was for political reasons to capture JL's constitutional capital Buaale.
