I came across this on Reddit from a subreddit called r/TraditionalMuslims which sounds Islamic enough but when you look at it more closely, it's really just a TJ male support group where they encourage each other's misogyny in the most comedically unhinged ways. I sometimes like to lurk on it for a quick laugh and the other day I saw unironically them say "Feminism is worse than terrorist groups like ISIS because they terrorise a man's soul, not just his body!"

Anyway these TJs had to write an whole fanfic featuring a Somali woman as the protagonist (they could have just left us outta this...) portraying us as h0es to justify why all Muslim sisters are a lost cause. I was dying of laughter on the train home today whilst scrolling through my Reddit, what a hilarious waste of creative writing skills, subxanallah!

There was another subreddit just like this one that got banned a few years ago. It was basically a more extreme version of r/Islam. It had a lot more red pill Islamic content and the sub just gave off incel vibes.

Its inceldom with an islamic coat of paint. Ofc its weird to be an incel when you arent looking to commit zina, but everything else is legit just run of the mill incel shit. Worrying about 'muslim women' instead of 'western women', expecting marriage instead of sex.

The animosity is worse though imo because to them, theyre working from the basis that Allah decreed both sexes to guard their chastity, so they feel cheated since they hyperfocus on women that arent following that. In the west that expectation isnt there (though they pretend they can move their societies back to chastity by being internet mad) so the incels are haters / resentful, but the muslim incels are haters, resentful, and feel empowered by the deen.

And this story of dating a white guy for years and dumping him for a man in the community is much more common in the TJ community. Truthfully I don’t know any Somali women who have done that, that’s how I know this is fake. The women who aren’t chaste in our community tend to mess around with madow guys (not saying that’s any better but it’s the reality)
