I'm ok with the mid 2000s art tbh. I played the Clannad game back in the day(highschool) those derpy faces made had immunized me.
Lol I remember clannad those bishes eyes were large as hell

They definitely need to remake Clannad, give it a Little Busters/Angel Beats facelift while they're at it. Modern anime fans need to experience one of the best stories in the medium.

I'm into Wuxia/cultivation and Manhua in general, suggest me some power fantasy/historical Chinese dramas.watched it when i was in middle school, many years ago. one of my earlier animes, but now i'm more into kdramas and Chinese dramas. Code geass is my favourite anime, I would recomend everyone to watch this

fantasy historical Chinese dramas:
1) legend of fuyao (watched half and will continue, good drama)
2) eternal love/ ten miles of peach blossom (my sister swears by this, one my list to watch)
3) General and I (watch this around 2017, pretty good)
4) the untamed
5) Ashes of love (my sister loves this)
No fantasy but Chinese historical drama (These are my personal favorites that I swear by
)1- Yanxi palace (70 episodes and the only drama I've watched 3 times)
- my ultimate favorite Chinese drama, I promise if you watch this one you will not regret it. never met anyone who hates this drama. watch from youtube they have the best subtitles.
- FL is very scheming and infiltrates the palace to search for clues about her sister's suspicious death. She plots against the concubines, consorts, and even the emperor. She eventually climbs up the power ladder to become the most favorite consort.
2- Ruyi royal love
- This takes the same time place of Yanxi palace with the same historical figures (same emperor, empress, consorts, concubine). But the FL here was the secondary antagonist in Yanxi palace. It her side of the story. Quite sad but and intriguing drama, will definitely not bore you.
- youtube has the best subtitle for this too.
3- nirvana in fire
- revenge story, ML's family is framed for treason and massacred. Years later he helps a unfavored prince to rise in power and take the throne. ML take revenge by collaborating with the unfavored prince. Personally, another favorite of mine
4- princess weiyoung
- Also another personal favorite. Revenge story. FL's family is massacred and she takes on a new identity to get revenge.
- youtube also has great subtitles for this
5- empresss ki (watched this twice, amazing!!)
- FL is also another schemer here. FL is korean commoner. She pretends to live as a boy and commits crimes for noble lords to get paid well. She meets both the prince of Josean (present day korea) and Yuan (present day china). Her scheming story of her rise to power.
6- Empresses of china/ legend of zhen huan
- FL is quiet innocent and naive as a concubine in the harem. her story of how she goes from a sweet innocent girl to a ruthless cunning high ranking consort. Even tries to eventually kill the emperor (whether she succeeds or not I will not tell you)
7- The rise of Phoenix (I plan to watch this. Sounds amazing)
As you can see I really enjoy watching revenge or harem stories. All of these have a lot of planning, scheming, killing, poisoning, backstabbing, betrayal, and power grabbing. I personally love all these 6 dramas and have watched them with in few days. you will not get bored with any of them.
For the fantasy dramas my sister tends to watch more of them than I do. These suggestions are some that I watched or some that she swear by and tries to convince me to watch. You'll not be disappointed with them either.
I also like to read translated Chinese historical novels. You should try them. They are even more darker, nittier grittier, scheming, and craftier than the dramas. I used to watch dramas first, but after reading these Chinese novels even the best drama doesn't compare. The novels are even more detailed. You'll be hooked. there are even wuxia novels too. some of the wuxia dramas/ manhuas are based off novels. I still enjoy watching drama too tho.

Hunterxhunter is the most boring anime there is. Right up there with full metal alchemist.
Best animes are Naruto, One piece, Bleach, Black clover, Demon slayer, Tokyo ghoul, boku no hero and 7 deadly sins. Everything else is Qashin

I need more anime that takes place in pre-21st century Europe. So far I've watched Vinland saga and now watching Monster which are also both hella good
