I know a lot of saudi natives. In saudi it is ILLEGAL to marry someone of another ethnic background. My friend was Half Saudi Half jordanian. Her father managed to get around this rule because he has a best friend who was a saudi prince who gave her father permission. So the marriage was recognized by the state. Had he not have gotten permission. The marriage would'nt have been recognised.

I know a Somali girl who married a Saudi man ILLEGALLY (meaning the marriage wasnt approved by the state) they ended up divorcing after only 1 year of marriage.
