I feel like one of the reasons this hasn't been picked up by right wing national news and used to humiliate/demonize us is because we have more somalis in political positions. The local democratic party knows it's in their best interest not to blow this up and keep it local because there's somalis that hold elected positions and it could jeopardise their midterms.
