It's also important for her as an immigrant to stand up for others regardless of what people think. She is an example to those who are anti immigration. As a congresswoman she will pass laws that go beyond effecting only her constituents, that should also mean addressing national concerns when she’s congresswoman.

I think she should reduce immigration because it’s divisive, she answers to Americans only.

I don't know the exact figure but immigration to the US has been extremely limited and is highly vetted compared to Europe. They let in less than a 100 Syrians this year so in America the whole thing is overblown and stems from racism and xenophobia and fear from fringes of the inevitable white minority. If she was to close the door behind her she would be a loathsome hypocrite.

Lets get real here, low skilled immigrants do jobs that citizens do not want to do. That's the Mexicans picking strawberries or the Poles working in warehouses. I have worked those jobs myself you will not find any Brits there and if you do they will be gone within the day. You will rarely find Somalis there either. There's no low skilled citizen who's competing for a 7.20 an hour job.
