Ilhan's actions supporting the LGBTQI+ community should not be condoned by any Muslim in any way. However, what we are not allowed to do is declare her as a Kaafir of any kind, even her husband. This is because we are not Allah and therefore we don't know what is in the hearts of the people. Unless she does something which is considered major Kufr, publicly, with people seeing, then we cannot say that she is a Gaal, and this also applies to her husband. Buying alcohol and supporting sinful causes are sins, but they do not make people leave the fold of Islam. The people who hold the belief that major sins make a person leave Islam is the Khawarij, aka the people who caused 9/11 and their likes because they believe it is Halal to spill the blood of any innocent person if they are Muslim (realistically, because all they did was a sin) or not because they are not considered Muslims by them. Therefore, we should advise Ilhan instead of performing Takfir on her as this is not correct. Obviously, her position in the American Government does also mean that she should promote causes like this, so the best thing she should do is leave the Government, if anything.
