If you're from the same sub tribe does that mean you are related ?

no, you just have a common ancestor that appears earlier in the family tree than with someone who is from the same clan but not the same subclan for example. youre not necessarily closse relatives at all

Like, say someone marries from the same sub tribe ,for example, habarjeclo marrying habarjeclo.

It depends on how young said subclan is. Haber jeclo is probably far away in the line, so it wouldn't make you close relatives.

To know how close or far people are based on subclan alone is misleading. You could be indirectly related to people through a variety of ways. Generally, you will know of your first and second cousins sometimes even further in relation but it can be a little dicey.

Unless someone is my relative (known) or Its been determined through relations I can map out, or they show up on 23andme then we aren't related even if we're from the same clan.

When Somali boys are sent back home for dhaqan-celis (rehabilitation) purposes, I saw their parents getting them to marry girls back home as part of their efforts to make sure their sons were rehabilitated. What I didn't know Somali girls getting the same thing also when they are sent back home for dhaqan-celis purposes. It seems a new trend started for the girls as well.

You know I wouldn't mind that, just that I would be lacking in formal education to I prefer to stay here until I get my education finished with.

What are these parents trying to rehabilitate they kids for? Sending them off to a different continent won't stop them being delinquents. They just won't get supervised as well. Somali parents should start leaving these bad areas that we tend to cluster in. You just can't raise a child in a gang infested counsil housed neighbourhood without risking them getting involved in that crap. You may say that you'll raise them differently but many don't understand that the streets raise you child as well, the child will not only learn from the parents but also from their surroundings and community. If their surroundings are ghetto gangs then they will adapt and become like that.

😂😂😂😂 You are delusional. Somali girls are not being sent back home to marry Somali guys.

That’s always been a thing. I’ve even meet some who were very happy with their fob husbands, whilst others it’s a traumatic experience. As for the guys haven’t met any who’ve been traumatized from being married back home, but I’ve heard of a few who’ve traumatized the poor girl instead.

But some women (or girls for that matter) didn't get any hubby when they were sent back home for dhaqan-celis purposes. Case in point: @HabarSteven12. :ooh: Can you ponder why? As you can see, the dhaqan-celis didn't work out for her. :wow:
