We do have similar laws against hate speech or racial vilification laws here, but not to the scale of Britain. We don’t have explicit FOS Laws enshrined by law because we don’t have the Bill of Rights and it’s amendments like in the U.S and only political speeches aired in parliament are legally protected. If politicians step out of parliament and said the “offending” words, they could be charged with a crime, sued or both.
