Yep, the sheikh was attacked at Ottawa airport by a black belt martial arts expert who was a SPLA supporter and guess who saved his life? A Somali guy did. They will mention that incident in the second part of the series.

That is the decent thing to do. Wouldn't you like someone to help you or your family (parents) if you/they were in danger and attacked by others?
Though you have to admire Sheikh Turabi insistence that Sudan's political Islam was specific to his country and cut off ties with the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood who saw themselves as the global leaders of the organisation, he tirelessly lobbied hard for democracy and women rights in Sudan. You won't find Somali Islamists with half of his intellect. Having said that, Aljazeera (Qatar's propaganda machine) always portrays members of the Islamic Brotherhood in a positive light and paints the Salafis as evil.
