Farmajo is the last hope for Somalia. He was given a popular mandate to govern Somalia and he has the total backing of the international community. If Farmajo can not fix Somalia then nobody can.. Hes government is 6 months old and people are already opposing his presidency. Somalis don't understand the difference between opposing a mandate and opposing a policy till they understand the difference there's no hope for the country.

The only people who oppose his government are mooryans who don't want peace and profited off anarchy (at least in Somalia).

Ever past, present and future leader will go through the “Calaacal Cancer” on the road to development and curing Somalia.

You can bring the Mahdi himself to lead somalia and people will find ways to calaacal over him. 70% of our population can’t point out Somalia on a map and corrupt leaders and policy makers know how to use the uneducated shacaab to thier benefit.

There will only be 2-3 gobols that will prosper in Somalia in the short term (10-15 years). People will move to these gobols and invest in them, bring thier children for schooling and contribute to the Gobol that treats them best.

Why should we support him?
For stability and for peace. Farmajo wants to fulfil the most basic in any society which is peace and if people oppose him outright it's because they don't want peace... We can oppose many of his policies but we have to give him the chance to give Somalis what the most basic in a civil society= peace.

Farmaajo shouldn't walk the same failed path of bickering with federal states and changing the federal roadmap. Shariif and HSM wasted many valuable years on that. I hope he and Kheyre will be lenient and that they take the relevant stakeholders in their decision making process. Puntlanders are 50% less likely to be poor with the highest employment and literacy rate compared to the rest of Somalis because we arrange our own affairs and we want to continue that path. We are lacking behind because of cockblock policies of previous administrations. Farmaajo should put his ego aside and work with people that want development, state building and progress. I'll always be critical of farmaajo because of his PM past but he seems to be a bit more political mature now. There's absolutely no reason to oppose him now.

Farmaajo doesn't have 4 years to get the states to agree on a new constitution and figure out the federal political structure.

Millions of Somalis are sufferering at the moment and we're at the bottom of every aspect globally.

He should've pushed for talks in the first 2 months and kept everyone in the room untill something was put together.

If he didn't have a plan in January then why did he run for office?

There is no time to figure out shit 10 months in.

He's obviously a fraud.

Wanted to give him 2 years initially but recent events killed any hope I had in this administration.

No wonder training and investment into our military is limited.

Otherwise we already would've had a general staging a coup.

And he was the best outta a pile of qashin. Says a lot about us really.

I'm still hopeful though. The federalism situation was unaddressed by the previous admin as well.
